02 / ONE PERSON, PERSONAL CARE
Yana Shelestovskaya
This is my home. And I’m the one who looks after your dog.
I’m from Moscow and grew up surrounded by dogs. My two dachshunds came with me for two years in Egypt and then to Mexico City, where our family kept growing.
I was already caring for other people’s dogs in Russia and continued here in Mexico. I know how hard it can be to leave your dog with someone else. That’s why I want to understand their personality, habits, and what helps them feel safe.
I use humane training methods and keep learning about canine behaviour and wellbeing. You speak with me from your first enquiry to the day your dog goes home.
EDUCATION AND CONTINUED LEARNING
My education in canine studies complements the experience of living with and caring for dogs. I keep learning to understand their needs better.

THE ONES WHO ALREADY LIVE HERE
Venya, Yosya, Kitana, and Koba: two dachshunds and two Dobermans who share my home and my life. Your dog stays in a home where they live, too.
Venya and Yosya travelled with me across countries. Kitana joined us in Mexico; Koba was the last to arrive.

A STORY FROM THIS HOME
He was ten years old. He had lived on the street and in shelters. Now he is one of my four dogs.
Three dogs already lived here when Koba arrived. He has been through three operations related to cancer, a bladder stone, and dental problems.
Today he shares a home, toys, and everyday life with his new family. His story is part of The Dog Nest, too.
More of our life with Koba at @zdognestWHILE YOU’RE AWAY
Before the stay, we agree on how to care for your dog and how to keep you updated.
You receive updates about your dog as often as we agree before they arrive.
Meals, walks, and daily routines are organised around what you tell me about your dog.
You speak directly with the person caring for your dog: Yana.
03 / FIND THEIR STAY
From a few days at home to a stay with training. We choose according to what your dog needs.
For the days you are away: familiar meals, walks, and somewhere comfortable to rest.
For a stay that includes individual practice, with goals we agree together.
LEARNING IN EVERYDAY LIFE
We use positive training, respect, and communication. Goals are chosen around your dog and what you need at home.
Practise responding to their name and paying attention to you.
Work on lead walking and calmer outings together.
Practise waiting and patience in everyday situations.
Build attention towards their person and practise basic obedience.
You receive videos and guidance to continue at home. For the 10-day programme, we choose 2–3 goals and document progress with before-and-after videos.
Every dog learns at their own pace. Goals and progress depend on their starting point and continued practice afterwards.
04 / BEFORE YOU PACK
Dates, age, size, routine, and how they get along with other dogs. Let me know what they find difficult, too.
Together we discuss their needs, living with other dogs, and the details before confirming.
Current vaccination and deworming records, their own food, and a familiar blanket or toy.
THEIR LITTLE TRAVEL BAG
Use this list to prepare for their arrival. Tick things off as you pack.
We discuss living together, special care, arrival times, the final price, and booking conditions. Let me know before arrival if your dog is unwell, has symptoms of illness, or has parasites.

Minimum stay of 7 days

Yes. Photos and videos are shared as agreed before the stay. We also discuss how to keep in touch during your trip.
Tell me in our first conversation. Four dogs live in this home, so we need to discuss your dog’s behaviour and past experiences before considering a stay. An enquiry is not automatic acceptance.
You can find the rates in the pricing section. Message Yana to agree the dates, billable days and conditions before confirming a stay.
Yes. Message me on Instagram even if your dates are not fixed. Tell me roughly how long you need and a little about your dog.
